A construction advisor is responsible for offering technical advice in construction activities. Duties include advising on proper concrete mix to be used in construction; keeping updated on OSHA and other government regulations as they may apply to construction sites; studying flaws in construction projects undertaken and reporting the same to the management; and advising on construction policies to be undertaken. A construction advisor usually reports to a construction director. A construction advisor may be hired by builders, public welfare departments in the government, highway and construction authorities, etc.
A construction advisor should have a bachelor\' degree in science, civil engineering, or related field. Prior experience working as a construction advisor is an advantage.
