Take your career in a new direction by following these tips.
1 - Plan Based On Your Connections

It's always a good thing to make a career change when you know a few people in the industry you're moving into. This helps to avoid the waiting period for you to get the right break and it will help you achieve success. Before you decide to make a change, you need to remember one thing. If you're not going to benefit from the change, then don't make it. You have already spent enough time in your current field, so if you're not excited about the change then don't switch. You need to be happy about the change in order for it to work.

2 - Choose a Career that Suits You

Design a career development plan and find out what you're actually good at. Once you've found what you want to do and what makes you happy, you can choose between various jobs that you could fit into. A career change is never easy. This is why it's essential for you to enhance your learning and development skills before you change your job or career. There are a number of people who blindly experiment with various jobs, and this leaves them with no long-term experience at all in any one field. It also looks bad on their resume. Don't be one of those people that continually ends up switching jobs. Find a job you love and stick with it for a few years. To achieve true career success you need to follow your heart and do what excites you.

3 - Get Formal Training

This could mean getting enrolled in college again in order to get a new degree or certificate. Whatever you end up doing, make sure you choose a path you know you will like. Make sure to explore all of your options before making a decision. Getting advice on career development and career change would also be worthwhile. If you aren't satisfied with your current job, find out what you like doing and then do what you need to do to make the change.
