Project Manager - New Construction


POSITION OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager – New Construction is to manage projects, coordinate all project activities and assist the Development Team in the expansion of one of our large overseas Integrated Resorts.  The position will ensure that global development projects and activities of the Global LVSC properties adheres to the performance standards and timeline requirements of the organization.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***’s policies, practices, and procedures.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

*Works closely with VP of Planning and Design and other leadership team members to ensure that projects’ requirements, work plans, timeline and deliverables are consistent and present in all development elements. *Responsible for assigned projects from start to finish and works directly with all developmental partners and contractors, including planning, organizing and managing the project. *Manage team communication, and monitor and update project schedules to ensure that proper steps and procedures are taken and that work is completed as planned, budgeted, & scheduled and in conformance with LVSC’s goals and contractual agreements. *Tracks progress of projects against goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets, and generates reports on status *Monitors expenses to ensure they fall within the prescribed budget *Manages outsourced consultants, design, engineering and developmental efforts, including external firms and internal resources. *Provides on-going communication through facilitating and leading team review meetings or other developmental strategy sessions, including the creations of minutes, update memos, reports, project status reporting and other management presentation materials. *Safety is an essential function of this job. *Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job. *Performs other related duties as assigned.

*21 years of age. *Proof of authorization to work in the United States  *Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, construction technology, architecture, or related field. *Licensed architect preferred. *5 plus years’ professional development and construction management experience in a high profile development organization, general contracting or similar organization required. *Recent integrated resorts, hotel / casino / resort operations or development experience in construction related field, preferred *Experience representing ownership or development teams is preferred. *Extensive experience on hospitality, mixed use, food & beverage or large-scale retail development preferred. *Need strong history of successful high-profile project oversight – especially in high end / branded environments. *Ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituencies, including internal operations, consultants, architectural firms, general contractors and government agencies. *Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with project team as well as leadership team, while being a self-starter – and the poise and discipline to know when and how to communicate. *Strong financial acumen and bottom-line orientation. *Ability to contribute in the development of, and understand contract documents, specifications and drawings. *Ability to recognize items that are/are not within the scope of work during the construction process. *Ability to proactively assess contractors and consultants’ work against the scheduled activities. *Domestic and international travel required. *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.  *Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to:

*Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned. *Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation. *Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. *Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. *Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel. *Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. *Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
