Wilmington, NC ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS: N/A PRIMARY LOCATIONS:NC, Wilmington, 3805 Wrightsville Ave. Suite 15, 28403 REQUISITION ID:163850 POSITION OVERVIEW Davey Resource Group, Inc. is actively seeking a self-motivated, organized, and dedicated individual to join our team as an Environmental Scientist - Project Manager with a focus on applied coastal and wetland science. The selected candidate will be working out of our Wilmington, North Carolina office. JOB DUTIES DUTIES: Primary work duties of this position will include natural resource assessments, stream and wetland mitigation project management, and environmental monitoring and reporting. Experience in performing Environmental Assessments in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) is preferred. The selected candidate will assume responsibilities for managing projects that involve multiple teams within our office. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Qualifications: *Respondents should have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Sciences or a related field. *Additional coursework in wetland science, fisheries, or ecology is desired. *5 years or more of experience in environmental consulting is preferred. *Prior experience in wetland delineation, Section 404/401 permitting, and CAMA permitting is preferred. *Candidates should possess skills in using office software (Microsoft Word/Excel/Google Docs etc.), multi-tasking and working cooperatively in a team environment. *Candidates should also be comfortable with working outside (primarily woods) and in difficult (e.g. hot or isolated) field conditions. *Experience with GPS equipment and ArcGIS is preferred. *Driver's license and clean driving record are required. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is a full-time position with anticipated 40 Hours per week and the opportunity for overtime (to be paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate). Compensation will be dependent upon the experience of the selected individual.
