Senior CAD Designer - Gainesville, VA
Gainesville, VA Requisition Number: 132766 Company Name: WSSI Service Line: 1WSS - WSSI Employment Type: Regular Job Type: Full Time Education Level Required: High School Diploma / GED Work Experience Required: More than 5 years Travel Expectations: Up to 25% Senior CAD Designer Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking a Senior CAD Designer to support design work in our engineering and CAD needs in other departments. Responsibilities include assisting project managers and engineers with the details, design, and layout of engineering drawings from initial concepts through construction documents. Typical projects include stream restoration, wetland restoration, floodplain studies, SWM retrofits, and other water resource engineering projects. Work will include interaction staff and departments across our multidisciplinary team - including survey, science, archeology, GIS. This position may require periodic field work associated with these projects. Requirements: • Assisting project managers and engineers with the design and layout of engineering drawings • Development of engineering details • Preparation of conceptual layouts and exhibits for stream restoration, wetland restoration, floodplain studies, SWM retrofits, and other water resource engineering projects • 5 years of experience in the field • Candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2020 • Additional experience in the following are ideal: ArcGIS, Bentley software, and surveying • Ideal candidate will be a good communicator, technically competent, proactive, a problem-solver, desire to learn, quality-oriented, and work well in a multidisciplinary team • Candidate must possess general computer skills related to Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point), Adobe, and Bluebeam software programs.
