ROLE TITLE: RISK ASSURANCE MANAGER, RETAIL, PRODUCTS, PAYMENT & CARD PRODUCTS

CORE JOB: Risk and Assurance Manager. This role is a senior member of the Business & Risk Management Team in Payment & Card Products. It entails managing the Risk Assurance function for Payment and Card Products in line with the Retail Banking & Products standards.

LOCATION: Dublin - Central Park (working remotely due to Covid-19 at present)

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Products, Retail has responsibility for our four core Product sets which include; Mortgage, Credit, Current & Deposit, and Payments & Cards. Products has a Group-wide remit and is a key enabler of customer centric propositions and the delivery of the bank's Regulatory, Sustainment and Strategic agenda. We want to be renowned for providing reliable and simple products that deliver fair outcomes for customers in an environment where our business and people thrive.

Payment & Card Products have responsibility for the delivery of over 1bn transactions p.a. and have a requirement for a Risk Assurance Manager. This is an opportunity for a self-starting enthusiastic operational risk practitioner or someone with experience of managing operational risks and controls. Some knowledge of payment or card systems and/or process would be beneficial but not a requirement. The Risk and Assurance team is responsible for the application of the Bank's Operational Risk and Compliance framework.

This will be a fast paced role and will require a strong self-starter with passion and energy to drive business risk agenda.  The ideal candidate will need to have an understanding of the bank's risk governance framework and a flexible and agile mind-set in approach engaging with colleagues and stakeholders.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL:

*Lead the team to provide first line risk management across all material risks impacting the Payment & Card Products. *Take a lead role in ensuring all risk mitigation processes and controls are adhered to by the team and undertake adequate testing and feedback to ensure risk management is adhered to at a high standard. *Drive the enhancement of risk management practices in Payment and Card Products. *Guide senior management through the Risk & Control Assessment (RCA) process in the identification of the material risk that will drive the first line assurance testing for the business. *Deliver all activity in line with the First Line Risk Framework and the Groups' Integrated Risk Model and embed a culture of risk and compliance within Payment and Card Products. *Lead, coach and develop risk awareness across multiple teams within Payment & Card Products *Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders across the bank and critically with colleagues in the area and with 1 line assurance, 2nd line assurance and GIA.
Key Accountabilities include:

*Responsible for the maintenance of an Operation Risk environment that is compliant with all bank and regulatory policies *Management of the Bronze level payment and card incidents. Reporting of incidents to the CBI when required *Responsible for Bank Resolution contingency planning and reporting for the banks payment systems *Representing the area at internal and external meetings, e.g. AML, Fraud, etc. *Responsible for leading the Payment and Card team's engagement with GIA and LOD 1&2 audit and assurance activities and monitoring the delivery of any identified actions *Leading the Risk Assurance team and developing the team members *Responsible for system access delivery and oversight for all systems used in the area *Business owner of supplier relationships with Ethoca, EBA Clearing and Target2 *Manage the relationship with Financial Crime

In Payment & Card Products, our role is to ensure that payment systems are always available to customers and that our products are customer focused and delivered in accordance their terms and conditions.  The Risk Assurance role is vital to ensuring that the risks are appropriately managed and mitigated so that we continue to deliver these critical services to our customers.

MINIMUM CRITERIA:

*Understanding of the bank's Operational Risk Management framework *Strong risk awareness with specific experience in the management and mitigation of risks *Excellent written and verbal communications skills *Track record in managing, leading, motivating and developing a team *Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners
