Dublin, Baile Atha Cliath, Ireland ROLE: FUNDING LAWYER, TREASURY LEGAL SERVICES TEAM LOCATION: Hybrid of remote working and Molesworth Street, Dublin 2 - currently working remotely This role is being offered on a PERMANENT/FULL TIME basis. SUMMARY OF THE TEAM: We are inviting applications for a funding lawyer role in Treasury Legal Services team, which is part of AIB Group's Legal, Corporate Governance & Customer Care function. The Treasury Legal Services team provides legal advice and support to AIB Group's Treasury function in connection with its funding and liquidity requirements, its wholesale trading activity and its customer foreign exchange and derivatives business. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic area supporting AIB Group's funding and capital raising activities. The role requires transaction management, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO: *Will be part of the Treasury Legal Services team and will provide legal support for the Bank's funding and capital raising activities including green bond issuance, MREL bond issuance, Capital issuance, asset covered securities and Securitisation programmes (e.g. RMBS). *Will negotiate and draft funding documents, advise and coordinate efforts with internal departments, external legal counsel, arranger, dealers, rating agencies, regulatory authorities, stock exchanges and other participants in the issuance process and will be involved in the ongoing maintenance/updates of programme documentation. *Will provide legal advice and support to the Bank's Treasury function on capital and funding matters and advise on associated legal and regulatory developments. YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU ARE/HAVE: *Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4-5 years' relevant post qualification experience *Experience advising banks and financial institution issuers/clients on domestic and international bond issuance, securitisations and/or other funding arrangements *Experience drafting and negotiating relevant funding documents (e.g. bond prospectuses, risk disclosures, private placement memoranda, board authorisations & papers, legal opinions) *Transaction management experience, with proven ability to work efficiently and to manage competing priorities *Ability to co-ordinate and manage internal stakeholders and external legal counsel and to work collaboratively with legal and business teams *In depth knowledge/understanding of legal, regulatory and market practice developments in the domestic and international financial markets as they relate to funding and capital activities *Ability to identify, manage and assess legal risk *Strong technical competency in the relevant fields of law is essential together with recent and relevant experience.
