ROLE TITLE: LEAD AUDITOR, CAPITAL MARKETS & CREDIT RISK AUDIT TEAM

LOCATION: Hybrid Working Model / Molesworth Street, Dublin (subject to change)

This role is being offered on a PERMANENT basis.

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Capital Markets & Credit Risk Audit Team has recently been established within AIB Group Internal Audit (GIA). Our Team Aim is to collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to deliver a professional, customer focused and value add internal audit service. We are on an ambitious journey to create the best function we can for AIB and our people. Through our audit charter, we operate independently as the third line of defence to provide assurance to our stakeholders on the performance of AIB and its subsidiaries, governance, risk management and the internal control environment.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

*Assist in the preparation of risk-based audit plans and programmes of work to support the delivery of assurance to the Board Audit Committee and other key stakeholders; *Lead and manage audits from beginning to end including definition of audit scope, test strategy, execution of testing, assessment of issues and the delivery of a final report focussed on required  actions; *Manage the resolution of agreed issues and exceptions with our partner business areas and stakeholders within agreed timetables; *Review and interpret processed data to identify trends and investigate exceptional items; *Actively develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across AIB so that, through collaboration, we collectively deliver on our Group objectives.  We strive hard to be role models of our Group Values i.e. Be One Team | Own the Outcome | Drive Progress | Show Respect | Eliminate Complexity

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE SOMETHING THAT YOU WANT TO BE PART OF?

YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU CAN/HAVE:

*For this role, there is a preference for third level or professionally qualified candidates (i.e. primary degree, CA, CMIIA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification) or candidates undergoing these exams with financial services / audit experience *Credit Risk skills are an advantage together with strong analytical skills with a capacity to bring robust and commercial challenge whilst at the same being open to contrary viewpoints *Have experience of risk management in a banking environment and / or internal audit experience and / or risk management methodologies *Have good interpersonal and team skills with the ability to build relationships and work to deliver AIB Group and team goals *Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a financial services and/or audit environment.
