WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

*Assigning guards to their required assignment or post *Supervising all guard on duty, whether they are providing care and control of individuals, day cells, airport, or other satellite offices, conducting transports, verifying departure, or any contracted services *Completing and forwarding any required incident reports, including analysis and recommended action to be taken *Complying with all policies and procedures *Receiving a shift briefing, and ensuring all guards are up to date with any new issues or situations by debriefing them and handing out procedures or instructions 15 minutes before the start of each shift *Accurately completing and processing all forms, report and paperwork *Dispatching radio communication to fleet vehicles *Ensuring that both the initial and ongoing on-site training it completed and remains up to date for all guards on site *Identifying, in writing performance deficiencies and possible training gaps to Operational Manager *Implement and ensuring that all guards understand and follow the fire and evacuation plan *Providing support, assistance, and ongoing training with all guards *Conducting required supervisory visits to posts *Coordinating breaks and mealtimes *Coordinating individual movement both inside and outside of CBSA locations *Forwarding any complaints, requests, or concerns brought forward by guards to CBSA *Performing regular quality control checks of transport and departure verifications *Communication with superiors and CBSA on any significant incidents or events or accidents. Suggesting reforms to current processes where appropriate. *Ensuring all required equipment is in good working condition *Keeping an up-to-date inventory of First-Aid kits and contents in fleet vehicles *Any other duties relating to the services

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

*Fluency in English, spoken and written. Fluency in French is an asset *Excellent communication, customer service and people skills *Previous experience in the security industry *Strong computer skills *Available to work and commute any scheduled shifts in a 24/7 operation including weekends and public holidays *Leadership and problem-solving skills *Ability to work in a stressful environment *Ability to stand on foot and walk for long periods of time *Minimum one (1) year experience in the direct supervisor of at least 10 employees *Minimum one (1) year experience in a field directly related to law enforcement (Canadian Forces, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, CBSA, Correctional Services Canada or a police force) or security services; or one (1) year of experience specifically working on a security guard contract with the CBSA at an IHC or providing care and control of CBSA individuals.

*CBSA Enhanced Reliability *Contract Security Program (CSP) Reliability Status *Vulnerable Sector Check *Valid Alberta Security Guard licence *Full Class 5 Drivers license with clean drivers abstract *First Aid and PR Training with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) *Must be able to obtain a Transportation Canada Security Clearance (RAIC) *Over 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) *Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Residence *All **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** employees are required to be fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine series, approved by Health Canada, as a condition of hire.
