Billing Specialist CCBHC

POSITION SUMMARY:
· To collect and ensure proper coding (internal/external).
· Process data for billing and perform all functioning associated with CCBHC PPS2 billing guidelines.
· Data entry and management of the DHS portal for accurate entry for every CCBHC client's level of care.
· Checking Medicaid eligibility
· Reviewing billing and attribution portal discrepancies
· Reconciling the TPL payments with the CCBHC payments
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School graduate or equivalent.
· Knowledge of third-party insurance coverage.
· Good organizational and communication skills.
· Data entry-retrieval experience.
· Ability to participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
· Three-year medical office experience preferred.
· Employee will assume full responsibilities for the cost and efforts of maintaining any and all forms of licensure, certification, and credentialing documentation as required in their job description or sited on any Employment Action Form as a qualification for hiring, job promotion, or monetary increase. Subsequently, the employee will adhere to the credentialing requirements of all insurance/funding sources for which they qualify and provide Human Resources with the initial required documentation (licenses, liability insurance policies, DEA numbers etc.) and all renewals of these documents thereafter.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Assist in the validation and importing of daily services into the Echo Billing system.
Assist in the maintenance and updating of the Echo and information systems.
Other duties as needed to assist the Billing Supervisor and other managerial staff as requested.
Monitor/track services and paperwork in accordance with individual managed care plans.
Input authorizations into computer.
Verify data on insurance forms.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
As requested, assist managerial staff in the orientation and/or training of other billing staff.
Provide backup and coverage as needed.
Attend trainings as assigned by supervisor.
Participate in assigned Center committees and trainings.
Other duties as assigned for which you are qualified.
