Director: Psych Assessment/Referral & Psychiatric Emergency Medicine

We are looking for a Director who will lead CONNECT, our assessment and referral program, as well as the CPEP program (Comprehensive Emergency Psychiatric Program) at CRMH.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Oversee 24/7 call center for psychiatric emergency services
Oversee staff that provide psychiatric bed throughput
Oversee Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP)  - Program based in RMH ED charged with diverting patients from state facilities, provide short term assessment/linkage/stabilization to patients in mental health crisis
Partner with community stakeholders, work within hospital system to provide quality care to patients
Work in physician dyad to oversee service delivery
Manage multi-disciplinary teams - nursing, social work, tech, etc.

Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm, and on call duties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master's degree required

Experience: Minimum seven year combination experience in Acute and intensive outpatient psychiatric nursing, Psychologist, Social work clinical services, and minimum of 5 years management experience in a community hospital setting required.

Licensure/Certifications/Registration: Virginia Registered Nurses License, Clinical Nurse Specialist, LCSW, LPC or LCP. Must obtain and maintain AHA BLS-HCP. De-escalation training must be successfully completed within four months of hire and then maintained going forward.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Behavioral Health Call Center experience highly desirable.
