Work Order Sys Administrator - Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital

Serves as the administrator of the work order management system for CRMH. Determines functionality for the system. Serves a expert consultant on the work order control system. Provides help desk support. Act as an internal consultant to staff and management supports management decision through reports and simple analyses. Supports and implements upgrades to the work order system through testing, training and providing help desk support. Assists staff by extracting historical data to develop standards and assess departmental efficiencies. Receives work requests from hospital staff and initiates system work orders.Assigns and Manages Work Orders to Hospital Maintenance Staff. Dispatches work orders to appropriate personnel and coordinates quality control and follow-up procedures. • Acquires and maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of work order systems. Analyzes application needs and develops/implements a plan to maximize application functionality. Serves as an application resource to the Technology Services Group. • Uses SQL to query data from the work order system as necessary. • Maintains computer application files, reports, documentation, procedure / user manuals, training material, etc. Participates in end user training. • Performs and/or develops required system maintenance, upgrades, and system training as coordinated with Technology Services Work Group. Coordinates and oversees system upgrades for work order systems. Recommends system enhancements. • Maintains work order system database and enterprise standards. Coordinates inventory management data with the Materials Management department. • Serves as internal consultant regarding work order system. • Performs administrative support of the department including telephone communications, record keeping, processing and tracing of data and maintenance of general office equipment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associate degree in a computer or business related field or three years experience with a work order system, microcomputers supporting network hardware and software required. Experience: One year of business, healthcare, and/or maintenance experience required. Knowledge of work order systems desirable. Licensure/Certifications/Registration: Virginia Driver's License Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective communication and problem solving skills required. Must be self-initiated, organized and logic oriented. Must be capable of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and/or data bases. Experience with TMA or other work order databases highly desirable. Ability to learn SQL database. Must provide own transportation and travel to other Carilion work sites, as necessary.
