Experience: Must be proficient in both written and spoken English and must be proficient in sign language with 1 to 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting as an ASL medical interpreter with proficiency in medical terminology. Licensure/certification: Successful completion/certification as American Sign Language Medical Interpreter (by an agency which is recognized by Carilion) in the last three years is required or must be obtained prior to hire.
