Laundry Services and Corporate Support Logistics Director
Roanoke, VA

JOB SUMMARY
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is seeking a Laundry Services Director who will be responsible for business development, customer satisfaction and retention, as well as production, quality assurance, budgeting, maintenance, and office and distribution functions. The Laundry Services Director also promotes a positive, rewarding and service-oriented work environment in support of high quality patient-centered care, exceedingly competent and engaged staff, and the achievement of fiscal, scorecard and process improvement goals and objectives.  The Laundry Services Director monitors the implementation of new professional services and performance improvement initiatives.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

*Development of a scorecard for CLS that incorporates fiscal, operational, quality, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement metrics. *Responsible for overseeing day to day operations of CLS as it relates to scorecard goals and objectives. *Proactively identifies and implements cost containment initiatives. *Coordinates resources to provide adequate staffing for CLS.  Demonstrates effective team building and leadership skills. *Holds self and the CLS team accountable for maintaining the highest possible performance standards in order to serve customers (patients, end-users, employees, colleagues). *Maintains productive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, members of the management team and other key stakeholders. *Monitors and evaluates customer satisfaction with services valuing our customer perspective.  Collaboratively implements programs to continuously enhance customer satisfaction and retention, as well as the acquisition of new customers. *Assures the effective and timely delivery of high-quality customer-centered services. Recognizes and acts on opportunities for growth and improvement to advance goals of the organization. *Communicates appropriate information to stakeholders in an ongoing, timely, and accurate fashion.  Establishes forums to engage in open, honest, and proactive two-way communication.   *Establishes and continuously evaluates unit processes and reporting procedures to ensure achievement.  Revises as needed. *Will develop an ongoing collaboration with the Section Chief of Infectious Disease to insure compliance with all policies and procedures for infection control *Obtain accreditation by HLAC (Healthcare Laundries Accredited for Patient Safety) or a comparable accreditation, for the laundry facility.   *Inspires enthusiasm and builds support for projects.  Attracts, selects, develops, and retains qualified employees, and is effective in utilizing developmental planning to expand employee skills and abilities. *Creates a safe working environment while providing opportunities to develop maximum potential.  Facilitates professional growth and development including the provision of in-service programming and an effective performance appraisal process.   *Plans for growth, staffing, services, educational opportunities and effective performance improvement in collaboration with Human Resources.  Utilizes developmental planning to expand employee skills and abilities. *Ensures all OSHA and JCAHO guidelines are followed regarding the handling of clean and soiled linens and commercial laundry machinery. Remains in compliance with all laws and regulations. Develops and/or oversees inservices as required for Laundry staff and site linen staffs. Insures OSHA and JCAHO requirements are included in all contracts with all users
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business administration, production management or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years managerial or supervisory experience in a commercial or institutional laundry facility, with a strong track record of success in the oversight of sales growth, vendors, purchasing programs, multiple cost centers and operational and financial performance preferred.  
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Certification as Certified Laundry Manager or TRSA Production Management certification preferred. Registration as Registered Laundry Linen Director & membership in National Association of Institutional Linen Management desired.
OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrates excellent analytical, financial, problem solving, interpersonal, communication, team leadership, priority setting and work competency skills at current level of practice.  Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
