Provides enterprise leadership for patient and customer services encompassing patient access, payer and patient payments, revenue integrity and other aspects of access and financial responsibility relationships with payers and patients.Responsible for ensuring appropriate, optimized revenue and collections in collaboration with providers, operational management, and peer financial services functions across the organization, including accounting, compliance,financial management, legal technology services and treasury. Incorporates data-driven operating environment that utilizes key performance indicators reflecting best practices and stretch goals to achieve operational efficiency and industry -leading stakeholder outcomes. Understanding of and continuous focus on digital health and technological applications across scope of responsibilities. Promotes **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** mission, vision, and values as a servant leader to achieve the highest levels of patient, physician, employee and other customer experience and satisfaction.Current knowledge of rules and requirements related to registration, patient collections, billing, coding and other aspects of the healthcare revenue cycle Routine interactions and relationships at all levels within Carilion, external vendors and payers, as well as within the community. Frequently interacts one-on-one, makes group presentations, leads teams, multi-service and organization projects. Frequently must adapt and respond to organization needs, current responsibilities and changing priorities. Makes decisions and offers consultative advice on matters with organizational implications. Manages department budget and staff, including all aspects of financial planning/accountability and recruitment, retention and performance management Based in Roanoke, Virginia, we offer compassionate care, medical education and research, and neighborhood outreach programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Health Care Administration or related field preferred; Bachelor's degree in same fields, along with 5 years senior-level leadership experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Operations would be considered.

EXPERIENCE: Ten (10) years demonstrating progressively responsible leadership experience roles required. Leadership experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred. Five years of management experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Operations preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATION: N/A

OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability as a thought-leader focused on the future with a continuous improvement mindset. Must be able to develop relationships with and interact personally across a broad range of leaders and employees, including physicians. Focused on staff well-being and leadership team development, including ability to listen with intent and be open to others' ideas, including when means taking measured risk. Understanding of basic aspects of care delivery operational settings for insight into spectrum of how services delivery in revenue cycle affects care delivery and patients / customers as they navigate the entire experience journey. Must be a well-organized and self-directed individual and have proficient computer skills required. Should enjoy working as part of a team, sometimes as a leader and just as comfortable following others. Critical thinking and problem solving crucial to the role to navigate complex systems and processes to find solution. Capable of providing and receiving constructive criticism as a servant leader.
