HR Clinical Education Director
Roanoke, VA

JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Director is responsible for the coordination and administration of all aspects of clinical education at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. The Clinical Director will develop and lead a group of highly passionate and engaged educators and consultants allowing them to fully contribute to the needs, initiatives and services requested by clinical staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*Direct new clinical initiatives, projects, and services to support the strategic direction of the organization. *Utilize program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of education and to identify areas for improvement. *Facilitate the implementation of the clinical development strategy and business plan within the team; be able to articulate the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values *Partner with team to develop and utilize success metrics for clinical education; be able to speak to and present metrics and provide coaching to team members to modify education or metrics. *Consult and collaborate with business leaders and HR colleagues to conduct education needs assessments to determine training needs and/or performance gaps *Evaluate external vendors or develop and/or approve program content, methods, and materials for training. *In an advisory capacity, assist in giving oversight to clinical projects, products, and services; have a clear understanding of department and business objectives and requirements to ensure targeted outcomes. *Oversee regulatory compliance and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards including CMS, OSHA, Virginia Department of Health and The Joint Commission. *Works with instructional designers in the development of training courses and/or content to ensure the continuous learning and professional development of clinical staff. *Work with Senior Director for budget planning and compliance. *Provide leadership and subject matter expertise for clinical educational programs.

*Able to function independently with minimal guidance or supervision. Excellent listening and communication skills. *Have strong organizational skills to manage multiple customer requests and needs. Able to assess problems and direct resources as appropriate to critical needs and projects *Professional attitude and appropriate business and clinical judgment in all aspects of this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: BSN or bachelor's degree in related field as well as graduate degree required.  If graduate degree is in related field, BSN is required. 

EXPERIENCE: 5 or more years of experience in nursing or other related healthcare field.  3 or more years of experience in a healthcare training setting.  5 or more years of experience in leading teams and people.  Prefer acute care experience within the last 5 years.   

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATION: Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. 

OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Strong leadership skills leading team members who manage different projects and initiatives and represent different client needs and goals Solid understanding of adult learning and instructional design principles.  Strong understanding of clinical work environments.  Familiarity with Leaning Management Systems.  Proficiency with MS Office PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
