Class A CDL Tractor Trailer Driver (FT, Laundry/Logistic Services)
Roanoke, VA JOB SUMMARY Our Driver (Tractor Trailer CDL) operates Tractor Trailers for **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** for the purpose of delivering linen between Carilion Accounts and the Laundry facility. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE GOOD DRIVING RECORD, MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE BOTH STRAIGHT TRUCKS AND TRACTOR TRAILERS, AND HAVE A PROFICIENCY IN BACKING TRACTOR TRAILERS. AVAILABILITY NEEDED FOR PRIMARILY DAY SHIFT HOURS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, BUT MAY REQUIRE EVENINGS AND WEEKEND SHIFTS AS NEEDED BY LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience driving tractor trailers Licensure, certification, and/or registration: A VALID CLASS A COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE AND LONG-FORM DOT PHYSICAL/HEALTH CARD REQUIRED. Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a driving record within the scope of Carilion's Driver Regulations. Successful candidates will be required to furnish copy of their driving record. Good motor skills including manual dexterity of eye, hand/foot, and depth perception necessary when driving. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary for interacting with customers and laundry staff. Must be able to communicate effectively and read and comprehend written materials.
