Bereavement Counselor - Hospice - Roanoke based
Roanoke, VA JOB SUMMARY **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Hospice Services is seeking a full time Bereavement Counselor for our Roanoke based office located at 1615 Franklin Road in Roanoke, VA. This position is full time working Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. This position will support Carilion's hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Will ensure implementation of Hospice Bereavement Program Services. Provides information and support to patients and families who experience loss and grief in our community. Provides supervision to Hospice Volunteers, students, and other Hospice team members who participate in or facilitate bereavement activities. EXPERIENCE:Two years' experience in working with terminally ill patients and/or bereaved clients required. Should be able to demonstrate computer proficiency with office suite software. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Must have valid Virginia Driver's license, use of an automobile with appropriate automobile insurance in order to make home visits/funeral visits as required. LIFE SUPPORT: N/A OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Must pass Virginia State Police Criminal Records Exchange Criminal Records Check as processed by Carilion Human Resources. Must demonstrate willingness to be available for patient/staff/community crises. Should live within local access for phone/pager network.
