Healthcare Project Management Director

Operations/project management director in a large community hospital setting. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine has an exciting opportunity as an Operations/Project Management Director for a rapidly growing service line. This position is focused on large and small scale Project Management such as Tele-Psychiatry growth, physical plant construction, administrative support function ( EPIC, Avaya, IT), data acquisition/ health analytics, Quality Assurance. etc. The position requires significant pertinent experience and established track record of success. Team building, senior level communication skills, customer service and ability to drive time sensitive results is essential. Experience utilizing process improvement methodologies, Six Sigma, Lean principles, Agile are preferred. The Director of Special Projects is a key member of the Departmental Administrative leadership team, reports directly to the V.P. Operations, Department of Psychiatry and, also, has direct reports. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years leadership experience required. Minimum of two (2) years experience in Project Management or recent demonstrated project success of a Carilion multi-department leadership project. Minimum of two (2) years experience in leading Performance Improvement & Quality Initiatives Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certification in project management preferred. Other Minimum Qualifications: Must satisfactorily complete orientation processes. Demonstrated project management skills. Ability to build rapport and establish relationships through strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet computer software and data analysis.
