Experience: Two years of experience in food service preferred. Licensure/Certification: SERV-Safe Certification, equivalent certification from the Virginia Health Department, or the ability to obtain certification within one year of hire date required for employees deemed in charge of departmental operations. Other: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required. Keyboarding or computer skills for automated computer systems or the ability to learn this skill, including electronic medical records required. Must be adept in communicating with patients, customers, clients, clinical staff to support fulfilling our mission and upholding our 5 Values daily. Must have some knowledge / understanding of diets in EPIC. Position is deemed 'emergency personnel' during emergency weather conditions. Must provide own transportation and travel to other Carilion work sites. May be required to work at other Carilion facilities to meet staffing needs.
