Civil Engineers and CADD Designer
LJA has several positions available for a recent graduate and/or experienced civil engineer with a BSCE degree and for a CADD designer. LJA is a fast growing civil engineering firm located in a beautiful rural setting in Pomona, New York. Preparation of design reports, specifications and contract documents for private and public projects. Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, stormwater management design. Assisting project managers and senior engineers in preparation of presentations, detailed reports. Project related field inspections and testing. Desired Skills & Expertise: BSCE degree with EIT or ability to pass EIT within a year of joining. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and ESRI Arc Info is desired. Self-motivated individual who can be a true team player. CADD Designer Job Responsibilities: Assist in design of land development and other civil infrastructure projects on AutoCAD Civil 3D Prepare detailed design drawings from mark ups, check prints and plotting of drawings. Setting up drawing templates and print configurations. Assisting project managers and senior engineers in preparation of site plan applications and other analyses and related drawing preparations. Project related field inspections and testing. Desired Skills & Expertise: Diploma in design/drafting with recognized training in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic site design software packs such as Autoturn. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of ESRI Arc Info is helpful.
