TELEMETRY TECH CLERICAL COORDINATOR - IRVINE EMERGENCY DEPT
Irvine, CA

The Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator (TT/CC) is responsible for monitoring electrocardiogram and SPO2 measurements constantly for designated patients and informing the RN of changes. This role also is responsible for maintaining and checking monitoring equipment daily. The TT/CC works as a part of the patient care team to maintain organization within the clinical station, answer telephones and patient call lights promptly, assist patients, hospital visitors and members of the healthcare team.  The TT/CC also performs some clerical functions including organizing the clinical station, tracking equipment inventory, as well as monitoring electronic orders. Notifies Charge nurse of new admits and maintains census record.  Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

*High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED. *Completion of basic arrhythmia course and successfully passed ECG test REQUIRED.  *Recent experience as a Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator, preferably in an acute healthcare environment PREFERRED *Completion of a Clerical Coordinator course including medical terminology also PREFERRED. 

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

*ECG Certification
