DIRECTOR REGULATORY COMPLIANCE - QUALITY MANAGEMENT
Newport Beach, CA

The Director of Regulatory Compliance is responsible for designing implementing and maintaining programs, policies, and practices to ensure the organization complies with applicable regulations and accreditation standards. The Director provides day-to-day operational leadership and oversight of regulatory compliance to improve patient safety and reduce clinical risk. The Director acts as a resource for the organization regarding issues of regulatory standards and identifies strategic initiatives to support the organization's goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

*Designs, implements, and maintains programs, policies, and practices to ensure the organization complies with, DNV, TITLE 22, CMS, and other applicable state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.  *Oversight/responsibility for regulatory body surveys, i.e., DNV, State licensing Reviews, CMS Validation Surveys, health department. *Responsible for staying current with DNV, CMS, state, and local standards and educating facility staff about standard requirements and changes as they occur. *Identifies, develops, and evaluates quality improvement initiatives particularly as they relate to regulatory programs *Evaluates effectiveness of corrective actions for identified problems and continuous quality improvement activities. *Oversight of the organizational response to patient/family grievances in compliance with regulatory standards. *Serves on committees, task forces, and peer networks as appropriate. *Responsible for staying current with Leapfrog Survey/Safety Grade changes and development of organizational mitigation strategy to maintain ranking.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

*Bachelor's degree in healthcare. *Minimum of 5 years of health care management experience with leadership roles in Quality/ Regulatory Compliance. *Knowledge of governing regulatory requirements. *Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED:

*Bachelor's degree in nursing. *Master's degree in healthcare, business, or JD. Knowledge of performance improvement principles, tools, and techniques.
