CLINICAL MANAGER - NURSE PRACTITIONER - ONCOLOGY SPECIALITY CLINICS

The Manager of the Medical Oncology Clinic is responsible for the daily clinical operations in all areas of the assigned **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Medical Oncology Clinic locations. This includes, but is not limited to, staffing, patient care, physician and staff engagement.

The Manager provides leadership in the area of medical oncology clinical operations.  Responsibilities include the assessment, planning and implementation of the daily patient schedule, delivery of patient care, assuring compliance with all regulatory and/or legal entities and maintaining quality standards, and fostering collaborative relationships with the practicing physicians within the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Medical Oncology Clinic.

 

In close collaboration with the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Family Cancer Institute service line leaders and under the direction of Institute leadership and the Medical Director, the Manager establishes evidence-based quality metrics and performance improvement goals for the department; evaluates the capabilities of all personnel prior to delegating duties within the department; acts as the internal consultant for all regulatory compliance matters relating to patient care standards, projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct; participates in the continuous quality improvement process and program growth and development.

May be asked to step in to direct patient care occasionally.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

*Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program. *Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience as an RN in Medical Oncology. *Must have five (5) years of progressive supervisory experience or equivalent.

PREFERRED:

*Five (5) years of progressive management experience, including budgetary oversight and compliance. *Experience in working with staff, nurses, and physicians in a matrix reporting structure. *Knowledge of the regulatory environment in not-for-profit organizations and outpatient settings.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

*A current and in good standing license in one of the following: *RN California Board of Registered Nursing; Nurse Practitioner

PREFERRED:

*OCN
