IMAGING ASSISTANT - INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Imaging Aide works with and provides assistance to all hospital-based Imaging departments and may also be required to rotate to campus adjacent imaging centers as needed to support patient care. This role facilitates patient flow, services as a central point of communication, and remains with patients while awaiting their procedures as needed.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to ongoing telephone communications between departments, assisting with prioritizing daily patient schedules, coordinating throughput in procedure room as directed, retrieving lab results, coordinating turnover of exam rooms and preparing for the next procedure, and maintaining supplies for the modalities.  The Imaging Aide is a versatile role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize requests as appropriate in support of the patient care experience.  Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience and prior knowledge of imaging procedures and operations preferred

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

American Heart Association BLS Certification
