Aon is looking for a Account Executive  General Practice continues to be one of the highest growth departments in the past 3 years and is the largest department in the Vancouver branch. This department also has the highest growth potential and is a strong contributor to the Vancouver’s results. This role has been created to continue growth expansion into Food/Agri and Commercial Real Estate, as well as sustain the current acceleration of growth in the Technology, Life Science and Public Sector verticals. As an account executive you will be responsible for the day-to-day, account management of Aon’s relationships with assigned clients as your primary role as well as leading client service teams to identify and meet client needs and thereby retain and grow a profitable book of business. Promoting the value Aon delivers to clients through service, consultation and collaboration. Roles and Responsibilities:Retains and grows Aon’s business, cultivating relationships with client decision-makers in the client’s organization as well as with day-to-day client contactsActively pursues new client opportunitiesFacilitates critical relationships between clients, Aon and insurersDevelops and manages the implementation of the Aon Client Promise Plans for clients in scope, including a specific business plan aimed at Aon’s revenue growthEnsures the client service team understanding of client needs, service delivery methods, and the economic framework relevant to services deliveredProject manages all of Aon and industry-related resources to achieve client objectivesEducates clients in risk management, risk transfer, market issues and relevant trends including appropriate benchmarking and Market updatesEnsures overall account profitability with a value-based approach for the scope of service and costs associated with the Client Promise PlanEnsures that the full value of involved Aon specialists and practice groups is promotedUnderstands and works in alignment with the Aon Leadership Model and its pillars of Client Value, Unmatched Teams, Innovation, Results and ValuesEstablishes clear roles, responsibilities and performance expectations for client service teams that deliver Aon products and services to each clientServes as a trusted business adviser on all pertinent issues; monitors client satisfaction; reports and resolves client issues and concerns and reviews client expectations to ensure relationship is mutually acceptable and beneficialInvolves appropriate Aon resources to support clients in unusual circumstances such as large claims, etc.Drives the renewal process, assembling the appropriate team to develop and implement the client-specific renewal strategyCoordinates with Brokers in the development and delivery of renewal strategies.Follows the Discovery Process of Client Promise to identify each client's needs and develops a Client Promise Plan to help clients achieve their goals and objectivesServes as a resource of industry, product or market area expertise to internal and external clientsDefines interdependent responses to opportunities to grow the businessManages input to and follow-up on invoicing and receivables process for assigned clients, ensuring timely collectionsEnsures that account data supports the integrity of company accounting and tracking systems. Manages expensesEnsures operational excellence, including adherence to service management requirements (e.g., Transparency & Disclosure, Aon Compliance requirements, Client Promise Methodology)Performs related duties as assigned Business Results:Producing new business and assisting in the development of sales and marketing strategy designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunitiesDeveloping comprehensive annual and quarterly new business sales and development plans for identified targeted prospects and existing clients based on being accountable for pre-agreed financial goalsDeveloping new contacts and build relationships with prospects that align with the Region’s/Branch’s acknowledged targeted industry or segment groupsProviding the leadership necessary for development and delivery of insurance and industry related presentations/seminars prospects and clients as requiredActing as the visible face of Aon to the clients/prospects in the community, working to consistently prospect and facilitating lead generation activitiesPerforming other related duties as assigned to deliver business results and distinctive client value Experience:10 years of Commercial insurance and risk industry experienceExcellent negotiations skillsIn-depth working knowledge of the insurance business and the assigned clients’ needs as well as all major lines of businessAbility to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervisionMeticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-taskProven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressureProficiency in PC office products such as Word, Excel.
