Merchandising Intern
Cincinnati, OH Company Name: Kroger General Office Position Type: Intern FLSA Status: Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY Complete a 12-week program in a merchandising department working with a team to gain an understanding of the corporate merchandising function. Responsible for positively impacting Kroger's business and consumers by completing challenging and meaningful projects. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS *Assist Merchandising group to achieve department goals and objectives *Complete specific internship assignments in a timely manner with the assistance of department managers *Communicate status updates and any potential issues to appropriate team members *Support Merchandising department and assist with activities of assigned department(s) including, but not limited to, end-to-end assortment, financials, analysis, and overall category strategy *Interpret data trends and apply own knowledge to inform business decisions *Participate and provide feedback at team meetings *Complete cumulative internship project (summary of accomplishments) and present to Merchandising leadership team *Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS *Sophomore standing or higher at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree; minimum 3.0 GPA *Commitment to providing customer service *Accuracy and attention to detail *Ability to preserve confidentiality of information *Proficient in Microsoft Office *Excellent oral and written communication skills *Self-directed, ability to execute projects with minimal supervision *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills *Ability to respond to changing business priorities *Ability to prioritize and multitask while providing accurate results DESIRED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION *Any professional/internship experience in a business-related field *Any specialized skillsets in any of the following areas: Contract Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Merchandising or CPG experience Education Level: None Required Certifications/Licenses: None Position Type: Intern Shift(s): [[mfield4]] Regions: General Office- Cincinnati States: Ohio; Indiana; Kentucky Keywords: Jobs at Kroger: At Kroger, we hire people who have a passion for helping others and who want to build a relationship with our Customers.
