A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ESTATE PLANNING PARALEGAL
As an Estate Planning Paralegal, you play the vital role of being the main line of communication with our clients. Thanks to the robust initial and ongoing training that we provide you with, you are able to provide our clients with first-rate-service. You are self-motivated and respected by the attorneys, taking on a role more similar to a junior attorney than an office manager. You get to help manage and execute legal estate plans.
Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills come in handy, as you interact with clients a lot! You greet each prospect and client with a warm, down-to-earth smile, helping them feel at ease. In addition to in-person appointments with clients, you also communicate with clients via email and telephone on a daily basis.
During meetings, you may sit second chair with the attorney and take notes, or you could run the meeting on your own to handle a legal closing. You are responsible for running annual review meetings for all your office’s clients. At these reviews you will help update existing legal plans and find additional legal opportunities. Your organizational skills also help you excel in this position as you do help with task management, appointment scheduling, and event workshop support. You're always up for a challenge and thrive in our fast-paced environment!
