Sr. Corporate Recruiter (Open to remote)
Columbus, OH

The Senior Recruiter is responsible for executing and managing the sourcing and recruitment lifecycle for multiple positions within our corporate departments. The Senior Recruiter helps to support the full lifecycle of the candidate experience through employer branding, recruiting process, onboarding experience, understanding of the job market, and support of internal mobility.

REPORTS TO:  Director, Talent Acquisition
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Manage recruitment lifecycle from beginning to end for exempt positions, with a primary focus on recruitment of professional level and/or management level positions within the corporate teams.
*Engages with business partners to understand recruitment needs, and identifies ongoing opportunities to drive engagement through mutually beneficial advertising and/or events which support our talent acquisition and internal development
*Supports the development and branding of Designer Brands' open jobs
*Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion as it relates to recruiting and retention
*Takes initiative to educate associates about position openings
*Partners with hiring manager(s) to review position description, salary requirements, and interview cadence and to get a clear view on their hiring needs.
*Develop and implement candidate sourcing strategy for each open position
*Select, evaluate, and deliver quality candidates with the goal of earning a high level of credibility as an effective and responsive internal partner while advancing the brand across all areas of the business
*Identify and attract top talent to the organization through the utilization of competency and behavioral-based interviewing techniques
*Partner with Compensation to ensure position is graded and budgeted appropriately
*Partner with HR Business Partners to complete internal compensation equity review to determine appropriate candidate offers
*Strategically partner with business units to meet staffing needs through multiple, creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
*Manage on-site interview process ensuring candidates have a successful introduction to Designer Brands and the interviewing team
*Conduct/Facilitate candidate debrief meetings with interviewers and hiring manager
*Collaborates with recruiting peers to understand current trends in the job market.
*Establish a sourcing network; including individuals, agencies, online advertisers and universities
*Communicate regularly with hiring managers, senior leaders, and candidates to guide them through the recruiting and selection process.
*Collaborates with Designer Brands partners, Business Resource Groups and Community Interest Groups to maximize recruiting and engagement strategies
*Partners with Learning & Development to provide insight and feedback on new hire needs to help ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires
*Organize and attend college recruitment initiatives, community-based recruitment events, and job fairs
*Conducts experience surveys at the beginning and end of the internship program to understand what the incoming job seekers value when selecting companies/careers and how Designer Brands has or has not met/exceeded their expectations

REQUIRED SKILLS:
•    Proven track record of recruiting successes
•    Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with the ability to identify and integrate opportunities for optimal experience
•    Strong relationship management skills 
•    High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
•    Ability to identify, analyze, develop solutions
•    Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making ability
•    Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
•    Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of associates
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Applicant Tracking Systems, and the Intranet, including utilizing social networking sites to source candidates
•    Strong knowledge on pairing sourcing strategies to the leadership level of the candidate

Qualifications
Experience:
•    5 years' experience as a recruiter within corporate retail
EDUCATION:
•    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business or equivalent experience preferred
