Sr. Ecommerce Photographer

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Senior Ecommerce Photographer has a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills. Primary responsibility is to style, shoot and record product attributes within set standards for quality and time.  They are keenly aware of the total studio workflow and can adjust their own workload accordingly. Works with the Supervisor and Photo Studio Manager to guarantee the team output stays within established SLAs. Must be a self-motivator and have excellent communication skills while working with your teammates in Columbus, Ohio studio.

This is a full-time position located in West Hampton, New Jersey.  You will spend an average of 80-90% of your time in the studio but will have some flexibility to complete tasks from home.  You will be the solo associate in the New Jersey studio, with your partners located in Columbus, Ohio.

REPORTS TO:  Supervisor, Digital Assets

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Possesses the knowledge and capability to flex their photography skills to style/shoot various product categories, as business needs dictates. *Provide creative & technical suggestions to elevate the quality of the image being captured. *Lead and develop new hire training, including Style Guide updates. *Must be skilled in sample management and tracking.  They will communicate with our warehouse partners to ensure product moves quickly through the .com processes and are ATP (available to purchase) within a 48 hour internal SLA. *Work with Digital Asset Supervisor on site audits and image feedback process. *Responsible for basic set checks, calibrations, and equipment maintenance.  Familiarity with Canon and Pro Photo gear a plus! *Maintains sample organization and ensures priorities are met. *Partner closely with Retouching team to coordinate best practices with end goals in mind, and seamlessly deliver files from photography into retouching. *Study footwear industry trends, develop best practices, and ensure product styling best in class. *Must have basic excel skills to ensure they are able to interpret shot list, workload, and communicate with our partners in the site operations process.  *Will assist in item set-up by capturing basic and key attributes of the product samples while in studio.  This will include features like heel height, material, toe shape, etc. *May occasionally be asked to shoot on-location for events, corporate head shots, adhoc social content, etc.  Must be comfortable with both natural light and OCF to adapt to any situation.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

*Extremely organized, excellent communication skills - listening, speaking and writing skills. *Basic knowledge of O365, especially Excel, a plus! *Keen eye for lighting, details, and have an ability to style footwear across all categories. *Prior knowledge of digital photography including; Photoshop CC, Canon equipment, Mac, and Profoto equipment (preferred). *Must be process oriented and maintain the ability to prioritize effectively. *Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, in a fast-paced and growing team environment. *Knowledge of current design trends and fashions. *Must be comfortable working with a remote team and leader.  Crucial they are self-motivated and reliant. *Passion: We love what we do. EXPERIENCE:

*4-5 years of experience in ecommerce photo studio space.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*Retail experience preferred *Prior experience with process development and improvement

EDUCATION:

*College Degree in related field
