Director, IT Supply Chain Systems

The DIRECTOR, IT SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS is responsible for shaping the technology strategy for Supply Chain Systems and the successful execution as it relates to the tactical roadmap. The director is responsible for ecommerce and retail channels for all segments within DBI, Inc as it relates to systems within the domain. The director will partner with business leads across the organization and lead cross-functional teams to create aligned portfolios that accurately reflect the business strategies. The Director is also expected to act as the point of contact to our business partners for all distribution and fulfillment system projects and operations. Scope of business functions covered include warehousing, distribution, inventory management, logistics and transportation. The Director leads teams of people to achieve business and technology goals. The position leads application development related to our corporate applications with implementations spanning both SaaS and on-premise implementations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Lead the development and achievement of the technology Strategy *Lead the organization and inspire the teams to deliver technology that enables the business to meet their goals. Invest in the people and create a culture of positivity where hard work and accomplishments are celebrated and appreciated. *Foster innovation in systems and business processes by listening to internal users, keeping current in the market and by networking with customers *Successfully lead teams to implement new or modified software solutions in the SaaS and on-premise models *Ensure that useful data is provided by company systems that meet the management needs of the executive team, enabling higher levels of performance *Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions. *Ensure that staff is developed and can meet the changing needs of users, customers, and new technologies *Ensure a financial value model is prepared for all Technology projects, system changes and business activities *Ensure development and implementation all Technology policies and procedures including architecture, security, disaster recovery, technology standards, purchasing, and systems documentation *Thorough and comprehensive knowledge of project delivery lifecycles *Thorough experience in the applications support arena, including job scheduling and management, change management, data management, applications and database troubleshooting and maintenance *Highly effective director, understands delegation and accountability; is comfortable with leveraging others to get things done; is a effective coach and mentor to subordinates *Thorough knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools as well as prevailing software development tools and methodologies *Proven ability to understand business and technical requirements, development estimates, and project plans. *Proven relationship management, execution and delivery with 3rd party providers and direct personnel  *Consultative skills with the ability to engage on a matrix-basis and provide thought leadership and influence *Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills as well as excellent listening skills *Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data *Ability to facilitate through conflict and manage conflict appropriately *Ability to develop and execute detailed tactical plans on multiple projects *Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously *Action-oriented and a high tolerance for ambiguity *Ability to coordinate, lead and manage groups of people with different objectives from multiple functional areas and ability to form and manage an effective project team *Ability to effectively manage business relationships *Direct experience leading teams through PCI, SOX, and FTC Compliance activities and audits

QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

*10 years of progressively responsible technology management experience in retail applications development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*15 years of progressively responsible technology management and strategy setting in retail applications. Leadership of teams of more than 10 associates

EDUCATION:

*Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar discipline
