Assoc. Exclusive Brand Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for building Exclusive Brands across all product categories for DSW Inc. with support from Sr. Brand Manager. Operates as brand ambassador with extensive customer and product knowledge to develop clear Brand DNA. Supports development during all aspects of product life cycle through partnership with design and sourcing resources.

REPORTS TO: Senior Brand Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Owns and develops clear brand DNA for assigned brands across all categories for DSW Inc. in partnership with Sr. Brand Manager. *Acts as an ambassador for the brand and voice of the customer. *Builds Long Range Plans for brand growth with support from Sr. Brand Manager. *Collaborates with Sr. Brand Manager, merchants and planning partners to build and monitor financial plans and selling results *Creates Seasonal Category Architecture Roadmap to support financial strategy with support from Sr. Brand Manager. *Identifies opportunities across DSW Inc. based on domestic brand results, marketplace data, and customer analytics *Influences line building development in partnership with design and sourcing partners *Helps to manage development meetings inclusive of sketch, proto review, style review, and handover *Partners with merchants and Sr. Brand Manager to build seasonal assortments *Adjusts product development needs based on current selling performance and analytics *Attends all buyer style & line reviews *Studies Domestic and Exclusive Brand competition internally and externally and makes recommendations *Responsible for development milestone deadlines and calendar accountability- internally and externally *Primary point of contact for all design and sourcing partners *Supports daily tasks of Sr. Brand Manager

REQUIRED SKILLS:

*Clear Understanding of DNA of each Exclusive Brand in entire portfolio of brands *Understands the overall assortment strategy *Can read, analyze and make recommendations on merchant reporting Understands components and levers of an OTB and financial metrics *Able to build strong and collaborative relationships with cross functional teams and vendor partners *Must be solution orientated and able to troubleshoot *Must be detail orientated *Must have strong verbal and written communication skills *Operates well in fast moving environment *Manages time efficiently and knows how to prioritize *Comfortable sharing point of view and offering feedback *Eager to learn a new area of the business *Domestic Travel Required

EXPERIENCE:

*2-5 years Merchant/Buying Experience

EDUCATION:

*B.S. Degree in Retail Merchandising, Marketing or Business or equivalent experience
