Summer 2022 Footwear Design Intern (Camuto Group)
New York City, NY Camuto Group has an excellent opportunity for a Design Intern. This is a paid internship in our NYC office and in a hybrid working environment with our design team. We are looking for a student who can contribute approximately 35 hours a week. Camuto Group offers bright, motivated individuals the opportunity to receive mentorship, supervision, and training. In addition to gaining hands-on experience in their department, Interns will attend various cross-functional presentations as well as learning sessions with Senior Leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES: *Assist team in the design of new footwear concepts for the relevant season *Work with the design team to create design solutions *Complete CAD revisions, color updates and technical packages *Practice to become proficient at sketching new footwear concepts *Research trend materials and colors *Source materials and applications *Practice rendering and recoloring sketches in Illustrator and Photoshop *Organization of Design Room QUALIFICATIONS: *Ability to hand sketch *Adobe Illustrator &/or Photoshop (experience with IPAD sketching or CAD work a plus) *Excel, Word, Outlook *Hot On Time system experience a plus *Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accessories/Footwear Design, Product Development, Fashion Design, or Industrial Design *Submit a portfolio of your design work DETAILS *TIMING: Full-time, beginning June1st - July 22nd (approx. 8 weeks in duration) *WHO SHOULD APPLY:College juniors, seniors and recent graduates *DEADLINE:Your application must be received by January 10th *COMPENSATION: All interns are full-time, paid positions *All interns must be able to pay for their own housing and transportation while in New York City *Only the candidates who meet the internship requirements will be contacted for interviews *All interns will be required to complete a project at the end of the internship program |
