DC Technical Support Specialist
Mount Holly, NJ

The overall main function is to provide technical/analytical support for the New Jersey DC Operations electronic controls and computing systems and equipment. This includes being the primary point of contact on 1st Shift working with outside contractors, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to troubleshoot simple to complex problems, identify and solve issues that could end up stopping the operation and making the decision and taking the appropriate actions to keep the facility operational. Determine root cause failure analysis and correct issues for long term solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Support the New Jersey DC (NJDC) Operations electronic equipment. Includes working with outside contractors to troubleshoot and correct issues. Able to recommend corrective action
•    Provide training and problem resolution and corrective action of the distribution systems, research and systems operation and utilization.
•    Develop systems support documentation and help recommend design changes.
•    Function as the "on-site" data collection tier 1 support for problem resolution, automated material handling equipment (use of and problem solving).
•    Work without support while onsite for 1st shift to monitor, troubleshoot, and fix the Warehouse Control System (WCS) to keep the facility up and running
•    Work with support teams while onsite for 1st shift to monitor, troubleshoot, and fix the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to keep the facility up and running
•    Primary person on-site responsible to make decisions based on training and experience to resolve system, hardware and conveyor issues
•    Troubleshoot, maintain, install, and repair bar coding equipment and train associates on proper procedures of using and cleaning the equipment
•    Manage the DC electronic equipment inventory
•    Work with IT infrastructure teams i.e.; Network and/or ES Server groups, Etc.
•    Roll out new Warehouse Control System peripherals including system and file updates, system access, area display screens, and participate in testing of peripherals prior to release to warehouse personnel
•    Help onsite response team to identify, diagnose and resolve issues as well as be the contact person to communicate with vendor service teams to assist with issue resolution
•    Set up workstations - mobile and fixed - and install system and software updates as needed and train operations associates on the new software installed/changed on the workstations.
•    Configure WMS display screens and work with system emulators to provide efficient interfaces for the NJDC operations team
•    Work with NJDC operations to define proper operating and maintenance procedures for the operations and maintenance teams
•    Assist in testing, documentation, and training of new processes for WMS & WCS
•    Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to support workload requirements, such as after hours during the week and on weekends as needed to install updates, test new software installs and train operations personnel on the system changes
•    Responsible for the proper handling and safe use of all Company owned property, tools, and equipment, including PPE, power equipment, voice equipment, etc.
•    Promotes and maintains a clean and safe work environment
•    Adheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures, and safety requirements while contributing to improvement and reporting violations to the appropriate DC Lead, Supervisor, and/or Area Manager
•    Conducts duties in compliance with OSHA safety standards, MSDS, Camuto Group Motorized Equipment Policy, and location specific policies, paying special attention to pedestrian/equipment traffic.
•    Communicates problems/concerns to the appropriate DC Lead, Supervisor, and/or Area Manager
•    Crosstrain in order to effectively operate and assist within other departments based on the needs of the department, facility, and Company
•    Other duties as instructed by leadership which the associate is trained and skilled to perform

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
•    Knowledge and understanding of FC/DC/warehouse supply chain business processes, concepts, and best practices
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Diagnostic, failure analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
•    Familiar with logistical systems and electrical equipment.
•    Familiar with PLC and theory, motor controls and basic conveyor theory.
•    Understand PC repairs and Microsoft OSs, Office and UNIX Systems.
•    Familiar with FC/DC/warehouse supply chain business processes, concepts, and best practices
•    Familiar with LAN/VLAN and Wireless LAN basics.
•    Familiar with Wavelink Avalanche wireless management software.
•    Familiar with DC Electronic and AC Electrical systems and function
•    Able to solve problems in a high-pressure, fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
•    Willingness and openness to learn and to be mentored
•    Adeptness to manage projects and deliver them on time and within budget
•    Ability to work with other departments (or outside our department) to troubleshoot and complete projects with minimal supervision.
•    Personable and patient with end users
•    Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to support workload requirements

Experience:
•    Associate Degree in either computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent professional experience in the DC support field.
