DC Power Equipment Operator- All Shifts Earn Up to $20.00 an hour

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Power Equipment Operator is responsible for the efficient transportation, delivery, and retrieval of merchandise to various locations throughout the distribution center.

WALK IN INTERVIEWS EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM 10:30AM- 4:30PM LOCATED AT4150 EAST 5TH AVE, COLUMBUS, OHIO, 43219. PLEASE ENTER WHERE IT SAYS " DSW DISTRIBUTION CENTER".

 

 

1ST- SHIFT/ $ 17.50 PLUS INCENTIVE POTENTIAL, $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

2ND, 3RD, WEEKEND SHIFT/ $18.50 PLUE INCENTIVE POTENIAL, $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS

BONUS TERMS:

BONUS ARE ONLY APPLICABLE TO DRIVER ROLES

PAYOUTS WILL OCCUR IN INSTALLMENTS

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Loads and unloads merchandise from trailers and departments insuring proper carton count. *Shuttles, retrieves, and delivers pallets to designated areas according to pick lists. *Transport empty pallets to designated areas.                                     *Scans merchandise into locations via the RF Gun. *Insures there is no overhang of merchandise. *Insures there are no broken and/or damaged goods. *Occasional shrink wrap of cartons.                                     *Maintains a clean and safe work environment *Communicates problems/concerns to the Lead and/or Area Manager. *Maintains an accurate power equipment log. *Attentiveness to pedestrian/equipment traffic. *Other duties as assigned. *Must move to other departments based on the needs of the department, facility, and company.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

*Complete up to 8 hours of training on power equipment. *Must pass written and driving tests for power equipment certification. *Excellent hand and eye coordination skills. *Must be capable of operating steering, hand, and foot controls simultaneously. *Ability to read and recognize applicable numbers and directives. *Ability to recognize applicable numbers and directives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*One year of warehouse and/or forklift experience preferred.
EDUCATION:

*High school diploma or equivalent.
