Systems Engineer - Level 2 - Server Storage
Mason, OH Requisition Number: 87968 JOB DESCRIPTION Cintas is currently looking for a Systems Engineer Level 2-Server Storage for the Enterprise Services team within IT. The Systems Engineer Level 2 is responsible for: researching advanced technology trends in area(s) of expertise; identifying emerging trends and initiating research projects for team members; designing innovative solutions using new technologies; recommending short-term alternatives when appropriate; creating prototypes and leading initial development and testing; defining SLAs to ensure requirements are met or exceeded; escalating problems as required and informing management as appropriate; developing client satisfaction and capacity planning metrics; coordinating assessment of emerging technologies; evaluating and recommending new projects or tools; overseeing cost benefit analysis and presenting options to management; assisting in the resolution of support issues escalated by senior operations or development personnel; providing technical expertise across business functions; articulating relationship between business and the data and technology that support the business; identifying opportunities to improve business processes via new technologies; making recommendations and influencing long-term technology strategy and planning for multiple business units; attending technology seminars when relevant to current work or specialty area; assisting in development of RFPs and responses to new business opportunities; acting as subject matter expert to various project team; determining dependencies and prerequisites; creating CRFs for assigned tasks and ensuring CRFs are approved with project timeline; defining production readiness and transition acceptance criteria and ensuring criteria are completed before new system implementation; and planning and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines, while planning and tracking status on several projects at once and adjusting to constant business change. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Required: *High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in IT discipline, preferred *Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology *Minimum 5 years of top-level administrative experience with a wide range of operating systems (MS Windows Server, Linux and mobile operating systems) *Minimum 5 years of experience performing storage administration, management, and configuration including the storage provisioning process, thin provisioning, SAN troubleshooting and VMWare connectivity *Minimum 3 years of top-level Directory Services experience with LDAP and MS Active Directory and ADFS *Minimum 3 years of experience providing capacity planning, performing server and storage consumption analysis, and assisting with disaster recovery and testing *Minimum 3 years of experience functioning as a project lead in the implementation of server and storage solutions *Minimum 2 years of experience creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and storage equipment and configurations *Must be willing and able to work overtime implementing production changes during approved change windows or assisting in problem resolution Preferred: *Minimum 3 years of experience in configuring VMWare EXS, vSphere, vMotion; specific vCloud experience *Minimum 3 years of experience in the administration and management of backup solutions is required; specifically experience with Veritas NetBackup and NetBackup Accelerator *Working knowledge of enterprise class LAN (Office LAN, Data Center LAN), WAN, VPN, Citrix, VDI and network security (IPSec, Firewalls, DMZ) *Experience managing and supporting EMC Isilon and ExtremeIO *Experience in the administration of MS SQL and MS PowerShell scripting *Previous experience with Splunk enterprise logging Our employee-partners enjoy: *Competitive Pay *401(k)/Profit Sharing/ESOP *Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Package *Disability and Life Insurance Package *Paid Time Off and Holidays *Career Advancement Opportunities Headquartered in Cincinnati, Cintas is a publicly held company traded over the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol CTAS and is a component of both the Standard & Poor's 500 Index and Nasdaq-100 Index. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** helps more than 900,000 businesses of all types and sizes get READY(tm) to open their doors with confidence every day by providing a wide range of products and services that enhance our customers' image and help keep their facilities and employees clean, safe and looking their best.
