Lee & Hayes, PC is hiring for a Patent Attorney/Agent and is offering remote/hybrid/in-office flexibility. The Patent Attorney/Agent position requires USPTO Registration, 3 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, and related technical backgrounds. Expertise in software applications, machine learning, artificial intelligence, AR/VR, or optics is highly desired.

Compensation & Benefits

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $140,000 to $250,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The Patent Attorney/Agent will be responsible for patent preparation and prosecution across various technology areas with a focus on computer-implemented methods in insurance, financial technologies and e-commerce, medical devices, autonomous vehicles, heavy machinery, and optics. Duties may also include managing foreign prosecution and rendering opinions to clients.

## Qualifications

- USPTO Registration.
- 3 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, and related technical backgrounds.
- Expertise in software applications, machine learning, artificial intelligence, AR/VR, or optics is highly desired.
- Conscientious and detail-oriented.
- Ability to communicate promptly and effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels.

## Duties

Patent Attorney/Agent duties include:

- Patent preparation and prosecution across various technology areas with a focus on computer-implemented methods in insurance, financial technologies and e-commerce, medical devices, autonomous vehicles, heavy machinery, and optics.
- May also include managing foreign prosecution and rendering opinions to clients.
- Extensive interaction with in-house attorneys, inventors, and firm attorneys.
