## Job Summary
Kennedys, recently ranked as a Leading Firm in The Legal 500 US 2022, is looking for a Corporate Affairs Lawyer to join its high performing Corporate Affairs Team. The ideal candidate will take pride in communicating complex market ideas in memorable ways and possess a determination that matches their intellectual curiosity. This role will be based in either Basking Ridge, New Jersey or New York and will report to the Director of Corporate Affairs based in London.

## Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Corporate Affairs team, partners and lawyers to generate story ideas and identify new thought leadership opportunities that offer a distinctive point of view.
* Design and implement insight-led content strategies that create category-building narratives and content directed at global audiences.
* Ensure content consistency and accuracy of messaging across practices and client channels.
* Find new hooks that underscore the utility of our research-based thought leadership reports and other flagship content.
* Identify and leverage insight and learning from a variety of sources so that you are aware of the latest events and developments in the insurance industry.
* Create content that is strategic, engaging and aligns with Kennedys brand voice while expressing a point of view.
* Draft and revise short- and long-form copy - from articles and messaging briefs to reports, White Papers, industry-led consultation responses and web copy.
* Adhere to and advocate for editorial stylistic consistency.
* Identify issues of interest, supporting the firm and our clients with industry intelligence and advice, including traditional and emerging risks.
* Generate, collect and present facts, information and graphics related to key business issues that can be amplified with consistency both internally and externally.
* Synthesize and contextualise internal and third-party research with an eye out for salient facts that demonstrate the legal process and commercial ambitions of Kennedys and provide a regional perspective.
* Keep tabs on relevant work, commentary and insights from competitors, academics, clients and other industry leaders related to a wide range of topics and issues.
* Identify outreach opportunities, as well as associated media opportunities, working closely with the marketing and communications team to help find ways to increase engagement - ensuring our content reaches the right hands in the right ways.
* Help ensure the creation of sleek, on-brand publications.
* Work with internal and external design teams - cultivating relationships to streamline design, publication and promotion processes.

## Required Experience
* 3 years' experience as a lawyer
* Understanding of insurance and legal market trends
* Experience of insurance markets
* Strong technical legal and research skills
* Experience successfully working and delivering quality content on deadline
* Keen interest in sustainability and global risks - geopolitical, economic, environmental, societal and technological
* Strong attention to detail, highly collaborative, adaptable
* Eye for adhering to and developing editorial style so that it is best in class
* Experience with data visualization in storytelling, but not necessary
* Experience or interest with legal policy and the legislative process, but not necessary
* Adept at influencing without explicit authority and working effectively across numerous teams / groups in a large organization.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written
* Ability to manage own time, excellent organization skills
* Multi-lingual, a plus
