## Job Title: Assistant Attorney General - Carbondale

Organization is seeking an experienced criminal prosecutor for an Assistant Attorney General position in the Carbondale office. The position is part of the Criminal Enforcement Division's Criminal Trials Bureau and is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of all Illinois criminal offenses.

## Responsibilities:

- Handle motion hearings and trial work
- Manage extensive discovery
- Present and cross examine lay and expert witnesses
- Work with the Department of Corrections and the Department of Human Services in various capacities
- Investigate and prosecute all Illinois criminal offenses
- Participate in proceedings to commit sex offenders pursuant to the Sexually Violent Persons (SVP) and Sexually Dangerous Persons (SDP) Acts

## Qualifications:

- Licensed by the State of Illinois
- Minimum 3 years of post-graduate legal experience
- Significant criminal prosecution and trial experience
- Ability to manage complex cases

## Salary:

Salaries are commensurate with experience and start at $79,008 for applicants with the minimum 3 years of post-graduate legal experience.
