Elder Law Attorney
Summerville, SC

Law Firm is looking for an Elder Law Attorney to join their team in Summerville, SC. The Attorney will be responsible for drafting documents, reviewing laws and statutes, and meeting with clients to finalize plans for their future. The Attorney will be mentored by a senior Certified Elder Law Attorney and collaborate with a team of other elder law attorneys and paralegals to provide an unparalleled client experience.

Responsibilities:

Draft documents, review laws and statutes, and meet with clients to finalize plans for their future.
Host consultation meetings to meet with potential clientele and outline the services and level of expertise our firm can provide, as well as a suggested legal course of action for each individual's unique needs.
Provide an unparalleled client experience so that each customer of the Firm knows they are a priority for you and our team at Law Firm. Engage in frequent contact with all clients and work hand-in-hand with our Client Experience team to provide a concierge level of service.
Help effectively solve legal problems for clients by analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action.
Set boundaries for clients when needed to ensure the firm is profitable and our attorneys are protected from potential liability.
Track time effectively and efficiently on both hourly billable and flat fee matters.
Collaborate with other attorneys to improve your practice.

Qualifications:

Preferably five (5) years of experience practicing elder law, at a level of expertise sufficient to work independently on certain cases and retain new clients. Attorneys licensed in both NC and SC are preferred, but SC licensing is required. CELA certification is a plus.
Experience with estate planning, estate, and trust administrations, Medicaid planning, and long-term care benefits. Litigation experience is a plus for guardianship and estate litigation cases.
Experience with billing and keeping track of billable time on cases.
Self-starter who will take the proactive initiative to complete priorities on a daily basis.
Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations.
Ability to figure things out on your own and be able to creatively problem-solve and come up with workable solutions.

Compensation:

Law Firm offers a competitive base salary of $90,000 DOE bonus opportunities.
