Law Firm Seeking Legal Team Assistant: Administrative Support for Attorneys Office-Wide

Overview:

The Law Firm is seeking a Legal Team Assistant to provide administrative support to attorneys throughout the office. This position will work closely with the Client Services Team, Attorney Resource Center, and other team members to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare legal correspondence, print, scan, and convert documents as needed
- Process check requests and attorneys' expenses
- Coordinate delivery of materials to local courts and prepare overnight/mail service deliveries
- Create and maintain client case files, including using document management software
- Search and review electronic files and distribute to appropriate parties
- Ensure proper indexing and filing of legal documents
- Retrieve and prepare closed case files for off-site storage
- Work collaboratively with the Office Administrator and other team members on various projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to complete tasks and projects
- Adhere to all firm policies, procedures, and guidelines while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications:

- Associate's Degree preferred, but applicable work experience will be considered
- Minimum of three years of experience in a law firm environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Working knowledge of office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide exceptional customer service

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This position operates in a clerical, office setting and requires the use of standard office equipment. The employee may occasionally need to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and must have close visual acuity for tasks such as analyzing data and reading from a computer screen.
