To learn more about the firm, please visit our website at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Investigations and Policy Specialist - Full-Time/Regular - Washington, DC The Investigations and Policy Specialist at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** will be responsible for providing research, media monitoring, and support to attorneys whose practice involves congressional investigations defense work. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located in Washington, DC with hybrid work capabilities. The successful candidate will have a BA/BS degree, a passion for following news and political developments, and substantive knowledge of U.S. politics, media, and legislative process. Prior experience in political, legislative, or Executive Branch setting is desirable but not required. Responsibilities: - Monitor, summarize, and distribute news coverage regarding current and potential client matters - Monitor congressional committee and key member activities, including hearings, press releases, and member statements - Conduct research on federal or state laws and regulations, relevant markets, and industry standards and practices - Stay updated on relevant research platforms and coordinate with team members - Collaborate with fellow specialist to effectively manage responsibilities - Participate in meetings with members of the Congressional Investigations Practice and other relevant practices - Handle ad hoc projects as assigned by attorneys and/or Practice Management Qualifications: - BA/BS degree - Passion for following news and political developments - Substantive knowledge of U.S. politics, media, and legislative process - Prior experience in political, legislative, or Executive Branch setting is desirable but not required - Strong analytical and research skills - Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and with a team - Strong service orientation and ability to establish effective working relationships - Commitment to professional growth and development **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is an equal opportunity employer and participates in E-Verify for employment eligibility verification.
