Law Clerk I

Law Clerk I Responsibilities/Duties:

- Assist attorneys with all phases of criminal litigation, including pretrial discovery, motions, hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Review and analyze documents, transcripts, files, and other materials to locate information and evidence relevant to investigative actions or responsiveness to grand jury subpoenas.
- Utilize electronic databases to perform litigation support tasks, including reviewing, organizing, indexing, tagging, and summarizing documents, files, and other materials.
- Conduct database searches for documents and information.
- Perform document review of a subjective nature, including coding materials for case-specific legal issues, themes, and areas for further investigation.
- Work closely with Trial Attorneys to gain subject-matter knowledge of the industry under investigation.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for and conducting interviews with prospective fact witnesses, investigative sources, and expert witnesses.
- Fully remote position with a requirement to come into the office as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- Must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials/authorization.
- Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study or an equivalent level of legal training or experience.
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
- Familiarity with ESI tools (Relativity) and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.

Strongly Preferred:

- Document review experience in Relativity.
- Familiarity with federal criminal investigations and trials.

Salary Information:

- The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
