Law Clerk I
Washington, DC

Company is seeking a highly motivated Law Clerk I to join our team in Washington, DC. As a Law Clerk I, you will provide support to attorneys in all phases of criminal litigation. This is a full-time, hybrid position, with the option to work remotely and come into the office as needed.

Responsibilities/Duties:

- Assist attorneys with all aspects of criminal litigation, including research, motions, hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Review and analyze documents, transcripts, and other materials to locate relevant information and evidence.
- Utilize electronic databases to organize and summarize documents and files.
- Conduct database searches for documents and information.
- Perform document review, including coding for case-specific legal issues and themes.
- Prepare for and conduct interviews with witnesses and experts.
- This position is fully remote, with the requirement to come into the office as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- Must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials/authorization.
- Law degree or equivalent legal training or experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures and resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools (Relativity) and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
- Ability to work independently in a team environment.

Strongly Preferred:

- Experience with document review in Relativity.
- Familiarity with federal criminal investigations and trials.

Salary Information:

- Salary will be based on experience and education level.

Experience Information:

- Must have completed at least one year of law school or equivalent legal training or experience.

Education Information:

- Law degree or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school.
