The Opportunity

At Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services in areas such as personal injury law, property, commercial, litigation, dispute resolution, and employment & industrial relations. As an Associate in our Hunter Personal Injury team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of plaintiff personal injury matters, including Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accidents, and Public Liability claims. You will also have the chance to interact directly with clients and benefit from our collaborative workplace culture and flexible work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate, your responsibilities will include:

- Direct liaison with clients and providing accurate and timely advice
- Preparing Court documents/orders and general correspondence
- Managing high volume files and matters
- Attending court, dispute resolution and settlements
- Conducting legal research

Successful Candidates Will Have

- A valid NSW Practising Certificate
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Lawyer in the areas of Personal Injury
- A demonstrated understanding of personal injury matters and processes
- Strong negotiation, mediation, and advocacy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong client relationship and business development skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
