Beverly Hills, CA Legal & Corporate Affairs Associate Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property, Intellectual Property Salary: $105,200 - $195,700/year Experience: At least 2 years of experience with trademark and copyright issues, particularly those relevant to television and film production and distribution (in-house experience strongly preferred). Job Description: - Responsible for shaping a full-service IP department focused on filmed entertainment. - Manage title clearance and protection, trademark risk assessment, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement, and copyright protection and enforcement. - Counsel clients, negotiate deals and licenses, and educate and counsel the business on IP matters. - Report to the AGC & Director of Intellectual Property. - Work out of Beverly Hills, CA, USA or other approved locations. - Deep knowledge of trademark and copyright issues in the entertainment industry. - Ability to handle all trademark and copyright-related activities in a fast-paced, frugal environment. - Strong understanding of complex legal and business issues. - Ability to communicate IP matters to various teams within the company. - Creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service. Responsibilities: - Shape a full-service IP department for Amazon MGM Studios. - Manage title clearance and protection, trademark risk assessment, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement. - Oversee copyright protection and enforcement. - Counsel clients on IP matters. - Negotiate deals and licenses. - Develop and implement IP processes and best practices. - Manage disputes. - Educate and counsel the business on IP matters. - Report to the AGC & Director of Intellectual Property. - Work out of Beverly Hills, CA, USA or other approved locations. Requirements: - At least 2 years of experience with trademark and copyright issues, particularly in the entertainment industry. - J.D. degree and membership in good standing in at least one state bar or equivalent. - Deep knowledge of trademark and copyright issues in the entertainment industry. - Ability to handle all trademark and copyright-related activities in a fast-paced, frugal environment. - Strong understanding of complex legal and business issues. - Excellent communication skills. - Creativity and attention to detail.
