Bilingual Associate Immigration Attorney
Georgetown, TX

Law Firm is seeking a Bilingual Associate Immigration Attorney to join their team in Austin, Texas. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for growth and advancement within the firm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping immigrants without documentation legalize their status and will have experience working with non-legal staff.

Responsibilities/Duties:

- Identify potential immigration relief options for clients
- Develop strategies to advocate for clients and address complex immigration issues
- Prepare clients for and attend interviews with USCIS
- Provide leadership, support, and training to paralegal and other non-lawyer staff
- Ensure ethical obligations are met by non-lawyer team members
- Review and edit USCIS applications and supporting materials
- Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and regulations
- Provide insights and improvements for case processing and legal processes

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Fluent in English and Spanish
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and active member of a state bar
- Previous experience working with and supervising non-lawyer staff
- Familiarity with humanitarian and family-based visas (e.g. VAWA, T-Visa, U-Visa, Asylum, Medical DA, I-601, DS-260, DS-160, I-130, N-400)
- Strong advocacy skills and commitment to helping clients
- Innovative mindset and desire for growth and change
- Leadership abilities and strong work ethic
