IP Administrator (DSS) Level II
Boston, MA Law Firm Seeking IP Administrator (DSS) Level II for Patent Prosecution Support Hiring for All Offices - Boston, New York, Washington DC, or Remote Salary Range: $86,314 - $108,201 annually Overview: The IP Administrator (Patent - DSS) will provide support for patent prosecution and departmental tasks, requiring a strong understanding of domestic patent prosecution and basic PCT filing knowledge. This position offers remote work options, with occasional in-office work required for USPTO paper filings. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player with exceptional communication and organizational skills. Job Responsibilities: - Assist with monitoring, tracking, and coordinating requests for DSS Team - Prepare legal documents, reports, and correspondence independently - File documents with USPTO and maintain electronic data for clients' intellectual property - Organize and maintain paper and electronic files according to firm policy and procedure - Use a variety of software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, CPi, Elite Enterprise, DeskSite, and IPDAS - Communicate effectively with various parties via telephone, email, and fax - Coordinate with colleagues and departments to complete tasks in a timely manner - Research and retrieve information using practice-specific resources - Adhere to established work schedule with flexibility for business needs and workload demands - Act as a resource for others and participate in pilot programs and product deployments - Test new and updated systems and provide feedback on procedures and workflow efficiencies - Assist with training and mentoring others as needed - Support department manager with special projects and additional practitioner support - Perform general administrative and support duties as required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree preferred - 3-6 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm or professional setting - Comprehensive knowledge of domestic patent prosecution procedures - Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as other practice-specific programs - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting - Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills - Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure - Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality - Punctual, reliable, and able to meet deadlines - Flexibility to work overtime when needed Physical Demands and Work Environment: - Reasonable accommodations can be made for employees with disabilities - Frequent communication and occasional in-office work required - Ability to sit for long periods of time and lift/move objects up to 25 pounds - Work in a standard office setting with quiet to moderate noise level Join our team at the Wolf Greenfield law firm and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package.
