Docketing Specialist

Job Title: Docketing Specialist Experience: 3 years of US and/or Foreign IP patent docketing or patent paralegal experience is required. Department: Practice Systems Law Firm: Fish & Richardson Location: Multiple locations in Twin Cities, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Texas (Austin and Dallas), Boston, Delaware (Wilmington), and Houston. How Will You Make a Difference? - Accurately docket USPTO and foreign patent mail into the docketing system according to established procedures. - Generate and monitor daily docket of deadlines and ensure that deadlines are met, and system is properly updated. - Review incoming and outgoing emails/faxes/mail and update docketing systems as necessary. - Provide auditing service for matters and docketed actions to ensure quality control of client data. - Assist with the processing of incoming and outgoing documents in the firm’s APS system. What Will You Bring to the Table? - 3 years of US and/or Foreign IP patent docketing or patent paralegal experience is required. - Comprehensive knowledge of docketing of patent processes. - Ability to identify issues and problems and proactively work to solve them. - Professional conduct, service-oriented attitude and acute attention to detail. - Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances. - Experience using IP docketing software, such as PATTSY or Foundation IP is preferred. - This role is mostly remote with the exception of quarterly staff meetings and special events. Commutable distance to one of our office locations is required.
