Certified Public Accountant

As a CPA at Holland & Hart, you will work closely with attorneys and other CPAs to provide expert tax advice to clients and their advisors. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your tax expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Partner with attorneys, CPAs, and clients to provide comprehensive tax advice on gift, estate, GST, trust, and individual tax matters. • Manage a variety of projects, ensuring timely completion and attention to detail. • Work closely with a team of paralegals, CPAs, associates, and partners. • Collaborate with clients' outside CPAs and advisors. • Conduct research and analysis on gift, estate, GST, and income tax issues. • Prepare financial projections and balance sheets for estate and wealth transfer planning. • Review tax returns and fiduciary accountings. • Stay up-to-date on tax laws and implications. Qualifications: • Certified Public Accountant • Minimum of 3 years of tax experience in a professional services capacity or Master of Taxation. • Strong project management skills and ability to take ownership and responsibility. • Knowledge of individual income tax, fiduciary income tax, gift tax, estate tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax. • Experience with tax research and writing, as well as preparing financial projections. • Ability to stay current on tax concepts and changes. • Creative problem-solving skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Strong attention to detail. • Excellent interpersonal and team-oriented skills. • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat. • Familiarity with software and systems used in a law firm setting. Physical Requirements: • Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. • Ability to lift and carry weights of at least 10 pounds. • Repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movement for computer work. • Ability to speak clearly and understand others. Work Environment: • Professional office atmosphere. • Sedentary work with occasional off-hour meetings and events. Compensation Expectations: Holland & Hart offers competitive compensation based on education, experience, and market value. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $185,000 per year, with a discretionary bonus based on performance.
